There are so many amazing indoor and outdoor playgrounds scattered all over Singapore. Sometimes I even wish I were a kid so that I could join all the fun!
Here’s our top 3 favourite outdoor playgrounds in Singapore:
1. TILTED TRAIN OUTDOOR PLAYGROUND AT TIONG BAHRU PARK
This sand playground is my daughter’s favourite. What makes it so awesome is a wooden tilted derailed train!
The train and its cabins are suspended above the sandpit by climbing structures and slides. Thea has lots of fun navigating her way through the train as its walls, set at unnatural angles, make it difficult to keep upright. Slides and ramps are present at various entryways around the train to keep kids busy and entertained.

In addition to the tilted train, which is the highlight of the playground, there are tonnes of other activities around it. My daughter loves the zip-lines, rocking horses and the variety of swings. There also is a mini maze, a padded play area for toddlers and loads of sand play.

2. JUBILEE PARK OUTDOOR PLAYGROUND AT FORT CANNING PARK
We like going to this playground surrounded by so much lush greenery for several reasons. One of them- we love the slides! Check out the photos to see why!
In addition to these long and curvy slides that offer different meandering options down to the bottom there is a wooden log obstacle course, a variety of swings (including swings for wheelchairs), climbing and bouncing nets, lots of sand play and a little rope bridge to a lookout point!

3. FAR EAST ORGANIZATION CHILDREN’S GARDEN
Since we are blessed with a tropical climate in Singapore the weather is always right for water activities! An outdoor activity that we like even more than a good outdoor playground is a water playground! ‘Far East Organization Children’s Garden’ water playground is yet another reason why Singapore is so amazing for children!
It is so well located in Gardens by the Bay behind Marina Bay Sands hotel and despite its weird name offers lots of wet fun! I can guarantee your kids (and you) will fall in love with this place!
So far this playground has been our favourite, because of its size, location, ambience and because parents can enjoy splashing in water with the little ones too.
Do bring towels and swimwear because it is impossible to not get soaked! On hot and sunny days (which they all are in Singapore) cooling down in this mini waterpark is simply irresistable.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT?
Officially it has been designed for children below 12 years old, but from what I observed there is no age limit in practise.
All of the family members seem to be joining kids in the wet fun and getting drenched. Every time we go I tell myself I will not join Thea, because wet mascara leaves me looking like a panda, but she insists that I do and after seeing other parents running around with their kids and having so much fun I usually give in. If not, there is a kind of amphitheatre area with fans for adults to stay in the shade and look after their children.
In addition to the large water play area there is a little place with mini fountains for the tiny tots (up to five years old) to splash in and an outdoor playground next to it (no water) with swings, slides, an obstacle course and climbing structures.
Know before you go to this wet outdoor playground in Singapore:

- There is a separate changing area as well as public toilets. A cafe nearby serves a variety of snacks and drinks.
- Address: 18 Marina Gardens Drive Gardens By the Bay

So these are our favourite outdoor playgrounds in Singapore, check them out and have lots of fun!
